FRUIT: 8 cups pureed peaches
SOURCE: farmers market
COST: about $7
RECIPE: Slow Cooker Blueberry Butter from Marisa at Food in Jars substituting peach puree for the blueberry puree
YIELD: 7 half-pints and a little for the fridge
TASTE: delicious, though I had a lot of trouble getting this to taste good, I’ve never loved fruit butters and this one just wasn’t as great as I hoped it would be. Don’t get me wrong though, it’s still going to be wonderful in oatmeal this winter.
