Yellow Beans

When I was a little girl my grandparents had a huge vegetable garden. I remember going over to their house and helping to pick in the garden until I got tired. Then I would sit on the patio with my grandmother and snap yellow beans. We’d eat some while we were snapping too. I have loved yellow beans ever since and now-a-days I buy huge handfuls of them when they show up at the farmers market to freeze.

RECIPE: snap ends, blanch in boiling water for 2 minutes, remove from heat and package for freezing
YIELD: 7 packs, 2 cups each
TASTE: yummy
